Square Enix and the prestigious luxury department store Isetan Shinjuku announced a Final Fantasy XIV collaboration event to celebrate the game's tenth anniversary.
The event, titled "A Decade's Journey" will be hosted at a special venue within the department store's exhibition hall on the sixth floor from September 28 to October 2, and will also celebrate the 90th anniversary of Isetan Shinjuku's opening.
Of course, it's worth reminding that we're talking about the 10th anniversary of the launch of A Realm Reborn, which indeed marked the rebirth of the now-popular MMORPG on August 24, 2013. Veterans who have been around since 1.0 count the years since September 2010.
If you're unfamiliar with Isetan Shinjuku, it's the main branch of the super-famous Japanese department store branch Isetan, and it's considered one of the most relevant and trend-setting department stores in Tokyo.
The collaboration will feature products created by a variety of brands from fashion to food and more, on top of a temporary branch store of the popular Eorzea Cafe. The brands and stores featured are as follows.

While we don't have a full list of products for sale, the press release included a look at one, a bracelet in collaboration with the popular accessory brand FRED, which will also be featured at a pop-up store on the first floor between September 27 and October 3.
The bracelet will include the brand's popular "Force 10" buckle + cable design. The buckle will be in white gold and the string will come in a special crystal color.
If you're wondering it won't come cheap, priced at 493,900 yen. That's $3,388 at the current exchange rate. You can see what it looks like below.
Since we'll be in Tokyo when the event happens, you can likely expect a report here on TechRaptor, so you can join me in salivating over Final Fantasy XIV items I can't afford.
Below you can take a look at the artwork created for the event.
Final Fantasy XIV is currently available for PC, PS5, and PS4, while an Xbox Series X|S version has just been announced a few weeks ago and will enter open beta relatively soon with a final release window in spring 2024. Players in open beta will be able to play on the live servers with the rest of the gang as it happened a while ago with the PS5 versions.
The Dawntrail expansion will launch in Summer 2024 and we already have many details and plenty of screenshots for your perusal. While we wait to hear more, Square Enix also shared plenty of information about the upcoming update, numbered 6.5.
