Nintendo is finally broadcasting its first Direct presentation of 2023, focusing on news and announcement about games releasing in the first half of the year.

Fans are waiting for big news (maybe some are a tad too eager), so here you'll be able to read about everything Nintendo has shared during the livestream, as it happens. 

We start with Pikmin 4, which got a brand-new release date and a trailer. We now know that it'll release on July 21.

The trailer showcased a look at gameplay, which looks really, really sweet. You can watch it here.

Next, we get a look at Volume 3 of the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 season pass, coming on February 15 and including Masha the Lapidarist, the newest hero added to the cast. She can use special ore to craft accessories that can bestow special effects on your party. You can take a look at the trailer here.

Nintendo also showcased a small teaser trailer for Volume 4, and you can watch it here

A new Samba de Amigo game has been announced, titled Samba de Amigo: Party Central, coming in Summer 2023.

The game lets you shake the JoyCons like maracas to match the targets during the song while posing and dancing. You can watch the trailer here

Fashion Dreamer from Xseed Games lets you play a fashion influencer, designing your outfits and liking other people's outfits to get them for yourself. You can grow your brand and expand your friends circle. It's coming this year exclusively to Nintendo Switch.

A new trailer of Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania was showcased, providing another look at the expansion coming on March 16, with pre-orders on the Nintendo eShop beginning today.

TRON: Identity by Bithell Games launches as a console first release for Nintendo Switch this April. We know that it'll also come for  PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Capcom announced a remaster of Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective by Shu Takumi, creator of the Ace Attorney franchise. It'll release in the summer of 2023 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.

Level-5 is returning to release games in the west after a long hiatus with DecaPolice, a thriller featuring two connected worlds coming in 2023 for PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.

We also get a new gameplay trailer of Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon, which is releasing for Nintendo Switch on March 17 from PlatinumGames.

You can enjoy the trailer showing the interaction between the young witch Cereza and the demon Cheshire.

Nintendo announced the Expansion Pass for Splatoon 3 including two waves of content. Wave 1 will be Inkopolis from the original Splatoon game including plenty of shops, activities, and amiibo functionality, on top of performances by the Squid Sisters during SplatFests. It'll launch this spring. 

We also get a tease of "Side Order" which will be the centerpiece of Wave 2, launching with a more generic "in the future" timing.  You can already purchase the expansion pass later today on the Nintendo eShop.

Splatoon 3.

Disney Illusion Island showcased new footage showing co-op gameplay. Pre-orders begin today ahead of the release date on July 28.

The Expansion Pass for Fire Emblem Engage was showcased, with Wave 2 coming later today including Hector, Soren, and Camilla. We also hear that Wave 3 will include Crom, Robin, and Veronica. interestingly, new story content titled "Fell Xenologue" will come in Wave 4.

Don't Nod Entertainment revealed Harmony: The Fall of Reverie, and new narrative adventure game with a charming cartoon style in which the protagonist can use clairvoyance to travel between worlds, see the future, and determine humanity's fate.

Of course, it'll feature many branching story paths on top of music by Celeste composer Lena Raine. You can watch the trailer here while you wait for the release in June 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. 

Harmony The Fall of Reverie

A demo of Octopath Traveler 2 will be released today on Nintendo Switch, PS5, and PS4 ahead of the game's release on February 24. It allows players to choose any of the eight protagonists and play for three hours. Save data carry over to the full game. The demo will also arrive on PC via Steam tomorrow.

Bandai Namco revealed a remaster of We Love Katamari titled We Love Katamari Reroll+ Royal Reverie. It's coming on June 2, 2023, for PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. 

It'll include new features like playing as the young king of all cosmos in five new challenges and taking photos with a selfie camera.

We Love Katamari Reroll+ Royal Reverie

Sabotage Studio's beautiful turn-based RPG inspired by JRPGs Sea Of Stars finally got a release date, and it's August 29 for PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

On top of the release date, we also learn that a demo will be available later today for Nintendo Switch. You can enjoy the announcement trailer

Omega Strikers is also coming to Nintendo Switch. It's a free-to-play 3v3 "footbrawler" that lets you compete in pitched matches in this futuristic version of football. The game is coming to PC, iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch on April 27, with news promised for other consoles "soon."

For those who love the Etrian Odyssey dungeon crawler series, an HD remaster of the first three games of the franchise has been announced by Atlus. Etrian Odyssey Origins Collections releases on June 1 with each game also available separately. Preorders are available today.

It'll include new illustrations and features, including automapping. It'll be available for Nintendo Switch and PC and you can watch the announcement trailer here.

Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp is finally coming after a long delay due to the war in Ukraine despite the game basically being ready.

This remaster will be available on April 21 exclusively for Nintendo Switch with pre-orders starting today. You can watch the trailer here.

We then get to take a look at a new story included in Kirby: Return to Dreamland Deluxe, focusing on Magolor and titled Magolor Epilogue: The Interdimensional Traveler.

The game will be released for Nintendo Switch on February 24 and you can enjoy a trailer here.

Another highly anticipated announcement is the return of Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games via the Nintendo Switch Online service.

A remaster of the original Metroid Prime for GameCube has been announced. It actually releases today in digital version, while the physical release will be on February 22. Find all the details in our dedicated article.

Master Detective Archives: Rain Code by the creators of Danganronpa got a release date. It's coming on June 30 exclusively on Nintendo Switch. 

Today we take a look at the gameplay and at some of the characters, including their supernatural abilities like Disguise, Audial Aptitude, and Postcognition.

Big news for JRPG fans comes with the return of Monolith Soft's and Tri-Crescendo's Baten Kaitos series. Baten Kaitos I & II Remastered is coming in Summer 2023 for Nintendo Switch. The original games were released in 2003 and 2006 on GameCube and have quite a cult following.

We then get the reveal of Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time by Level-5, coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch (at least for now) in 2023. 

You can watch a trailer of this charming "Social slow-life RPG" to see what it'll bring to the table.

Yet, Level-5 wasn't yet done with the announcements marking its return to western markets. The storied developer announced Professor Layton and the New World of Steam.

The game is coming to Nintendo Switch but doesn't yet have a release window. While we wait to hear more, here's the teaser trailer.

We take a look at Wave 4 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass, featuring the Yoshi's Island course and Birdo. It's coming this spring.

Last, but not least, we finally get the release date of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which will launch on May 12. Pre-orders begin today.
