The Fallout 76 roadmap for 2024 has been revealed, and it includes a new map expansion, more quests and rewards, and plenty of other stuff besides.

In a new post on the official Fallout 76 website, Bethesda first reveals that Fallout 76 has reached 17 million players, which isn't bad given the game's extremely rocky start in life.

The studio then moves on to what's coming next for Fallout 76, beginning with the second part of the Atlantic City update, which will be titled America's Playground.

Fallout 76's player count is pretty impressive.

That update will add a new quest in which you must confront the Jersey Devil, a cryptid from New Jersey folklore. Obviously, in Fallout 76, it's very much not a myth.

That's in addition to new "story-driven quests", extra areas to explore, and new rewards to unlock.

Following that, "later in 2024", you'll also get to explore the wooded land of Shenandoah, which also brings a new questline to enjoy, as well as new factions to meet.

More Seasonal Events will also be coming to Fallout 76 throughout 2024, as Bethesda says it wants to run them "much more frequently".

Naturally, there will also be plenty of gameplay improvements and tweaks to come over the next twelve months, so if you've been holding off on trying out Fallout 76, 2024 might be your year.

It's all go in the Fallout universe next year; not only is Fallout 76 getting all of the above, but you're also getting the upcoming Fallout TV show, which launches via Amazon Prime in spring.

The long-awaited next-gen update for Fallout 4 is also scheduled to arrive sometime next year, although Bethesda hasn't given a specific date for that just yet.

We'll bring you more on what's new in the Fallout world as soon as we get it. In the meantime, Fallout 76 is available right now on PC via Steam, as well as on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (and current-gen consoles via backwards compatibility, of course).
