Fans of Assassin's Creed Origins may remember when Ubisoft put out the Discovery Tour update, allowing players to get a historical look into Egypt. Now Assassin's Creed Odyssey is getting similar, with their own Discovery Tour for a historical look at Greece. Also, it's coming real soon.

Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece is a free update to Assassin's Creed Odyssey that is more about learning historical facts about the time period. There's no combat or conflict, instead, you just explore Greece and learn about what made it so special. Ubisoft says there are over 300 tour stations, each based on one of five subjects: philosophy, daily life, famous cities, war, and myths. You'll also be able to play as one of 35 avatars and ride on one of 15 mounts, with more unlocking as you complete the tour. Some of the avatars include ones you'd expect, such as Kassandra and her brother Alexios, to a random masked member of the Cult of Kosmos. Screenshots show the player learning about wine, music, Spartan education, and more interesting topics.

You can't sleep through the classes either. In addition to teaching, Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece is expecting you to learn as well. To make sure of this, there will be a quiz at the end of every tour. Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece uses the dialogue system from Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and Ubisoft said the addition of it let them make these quizzes rather than just being a tour and nothing else.

Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece will be available as a free update to all owners of Assassin's Creed Odyssey on September 10th. You can also buy it individually on PC for $19.99.
