Patch 1.2 for Assassin's Creed Odyssey goes live today across all platforms. The patch contains some fixes, some improvements, and support for the upcoming The Fate of Atlantis DLC.
The first episode of The Fate of Atlantis, titled Fields of Elysium, will be released on April 23rd. As such, the patch adds "in-game support" for Fields of Elysium. The Fate of Atlantis will task players with uncovering the mysteries of the lost city of Atlantis and will pit them against mythical creatures. Each episode will be released around six weeks apart, so you can expect the next one in early-to-mid June.
Patch 1.2 also adds support for upcoming Lost Tales of Greece. The patch notes don't go into any detail as to what the new Lost Tales of Greece episodes will contain. If you're new to Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Lost Tales of Greece are essentially free downloadable episodes added periodically to the game. You'll also now be able to spot these more easily on the quest log thanks to added highlighting.
Over on the gameplay front, Ubisoft has added custom gear loadouts to Assassin's Creed Odyssey. This should be good news for players who like to switch between different weapon styles on the fly. Loadouts can be purchased straight from the Inventory menu and will be bought using in-game currency. Looks like you'll have access to a maximum of five different loadouts.
Assassin's Creed Odyssey Patch 1.2 also contains a host of bug fixes and minor quality of life improvements. Issues like players becoming stuck in certain locations, not being able to upgrade certain weapons, and NPCs suddenly dying after quests are completed have all been fixed. If you're looking for a comprehensive list of all the bugs Ubisoft has squashed in Patch 1.2, then check out the patch notes.
