Animal Well Egg Song Puzzle - Hints and Solution

Animal Well is a game chock full of collectibles like eggs as well as hidden items. If you happen to have activated your UV light in the Egg Room you'll have found out that there's a hidden secret that can only be revealed after collecting them all.

In this guide, we'll take you step by step through the puzzle giving you hints along the way so you can get a nudge in the right direction, while not having the whole puzzle ruined for you. Of course if you just want the solution you can scroll down to the bottom of the article.

Hints for the Egg Song Puzzle in Animal Well

Hint #1 - What Do The Lines Mean?

The first Egg Song hint is that you need to find out how to turn the different lines on the eggs into music. The room where you first obtained your flute might be able to reveal some further secrets about how to turn lines into notes.

Hint #2 - Takes a bit of counting

Shining your UV light while at the Flute chest will reveal the line representation of notes 1, 2, and 4.

You can count manually, using the idea of what each number represents, or you can view it as counting in binary where the line at the top is the right-most digit. That should allow you to fill out what each of the notes is and complete the song.

Hint #3 - The Song Isn't Doing Anything

At this point you'll know what note on the eggs related to which direction. That should result in you having an overly long and complex 64 note long song. If you play that song in this room you might find that it's still not working for you.

The final change that needed to have taken place is that the Upside Down egg should be flipped around and re-read. Instead of being two lines at the top, it should be two lines at the bottom making it an arrow to the upper left.

Reward for Completing The Animal Well Egg Song Puzzle

As a reward for successfully completing the Egg Song a passageway will appear in the top right of this room. Inside you'll find a chest that contains within it the Office Key, this key will let you into the room up the steps in the house.

Inside the office is another puzzle waiting to be solved though, this one relates to the Secret Bunnies that you can find around the map.
