About Joseph Allen

Joe has been writing for TechRaptor for five years, and in those five years has learned a lot about the gaming industry and its foibles. He’s originally an English Literature graduate, and although that might not be akin to a journalism qualification, he’s still thrilled to be able to use those skills for something worthwhile.

Joe’s time writing for TechRaptor began way back in the mists of 2017. Since then, he’s interviewed notable industry figures like XCOM’s Julian Gollop and Bossa Studios’ Henrique Olifiers, been sent up in a model skyship to cover a game launch, and had the privilege of reviewing some of the best (and some of the most mediocre) games of the last half-decade. You won’t find his writing anywhere else; he’s a verified TechRaptor exclusive.

Outside of writing, Joe’s passions lie mostly in music. He’s an avid guitarist and drummer, and he’s also been known to sing occasionally, much to the chagrin of his longtime partner. He’s also an avid walker, taking regular strolls in the city every day. If he’s not hammering away at the keyboard to write another story, you’ll find him playing his guitar, wandering down the High Street (unwisely unaccompanied by an adult), or trying his hand at some cooking.
