JoyToy Infinity Ariadna

JoyToy has been releasing some incredible Warhammer 40K action figures, and we've already looked at some, you can check out our Adeptus Custodes Allarus Custodians Review and Adepta Sororitas Order of the Argent Shroud Review. But now they're stepping into the worlds of one of our other favorite wargames, Infinity (for which you can check out our Infinity CodeOne Guide). In this article, we'll take a look at their initial wave of releases for the Ariadna faction.

Who Are the Ariadna?

The Infinity universe contains several factions, and the Ariadna are the descendants of the first human colony ship that was sent out and thought lost. They don't have the technological might of the other factions, but the combined Cossack, American, French, and Scottish forces have been surviving with sheer grit and determination and are able to hold their own, even against superior firepower.

What Are JoyToy Action Figures?

JoyToy action figures are a range of action figures for different IPs. Currently, they produce for Warhammer 40K, Infinity, and their own IPs Frontline Chaos and Dark Source. Most of their figures stand at around 5 to 6 inches, varying depending on the scale, feature incredible detail and intricate components and each action figure is fully posable.

How Easy Is It To Replace Parts and Pose JoyToy Infinity Ariadna Action Figures?

Almost all of the movable parts of all JoyToy figures involve a ball and socket. This is how the hands and heads are with the Infinity Ariadna figures, which allows them to be moved and posed. All of the weapons for the figures need a little force into the hands to ensure they're gripped properly, but the slightly rubbery nature of the material makes this easy enough, so don't be scared by the initial resistance when trying to put weapons into grips.

The Infinity Ariadna figures come with multiple weapons and pairs of hands, allowing them to wield each weapon in both hands in a variety of poses.

Posing the figures is easy enough and it's good to make yourself familiar with the different joints and how they move. The lighter infantry figures don't have the weight that some of the Warhammer 40K Space Marines do, so finding the right angle for limbs to balance takes a little more time than those you might be used to.

What Are Our Final Thoughts On The JoyToy Infinity Ariadna Action Figures?

The JoyToy Ariadna figures are a fantastic start to the JoyToy Infinity range. The scale difference between Lieutenant Margot and Sergeant Duroc is captured very well, with Sergeant Duroc having an incredibly solid build. The sheathable pistols and knives across the range is an incredible detail and a lot of the armor plating is removable for different styles and poses. The various weapon options are also great, adding depth across the line. The Marauder's armaments are spot on, but some of the Tartary Army Corps' armaments aren't accurate to the current Infinity Army profiles, but they are available to other Ariadna units so can be swapped around if more are released, and we really want more released.

The Infinity universe is full of flavor and there are some incredible figures we'd like to see.

Should I Buy The JoyToy Infinity Ariadna Action Figures?

If you're an Infinity fan or even just an action figure collector in general, then the JoyToy Infinity Ariadna range is an incredible start to the series. Huge amounts of detail, weapon options, and poses, and the fantastic Equipe Mirage-5 duo look great displayed. Ariadna is a great place to start, with the limited tech and very human nature of the force offering a great reflection of scale.
