Pokemon TCG Scarlet & Violet Temporal Forces Brings Back Older Card Type

The Pokemon Company's continues its support of its popular licensed card game. In addition to appealing to older fans with its Pokemon TCG Classic as well as enticing newer fans with Pokemon: Path to the Peak, it released new details on its latest sets: Pokemon TCG Scarlet & Violet Temporal Forces.

Pokemon TCG Scarlet & Violet Temporal Forces Details

According to an official press release, Pokemon TCG Scarlet & Violet Temporal Forces will feature new cards based on the latest generation. These include new Ancient and Future Pokemon, Trainer cards, and new type-shifted Tera Pokemon ex cards.

The launch of this latest set will include the usual mix of booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes, and special collections at both online and physical retailers.

But the biggest addition is that this new set will bring back Ace Spec cards. These cards were first introduced in Black & White, and when played would have devastating effects on the game. The downside is you could only have one of these cards in your deck.

The return of Ace Spec cards was announced as part of the 2023 Pokemon World Championships, but now fans have a better idea of what to expect from the Pokemon TCG Scarlet & Violet Temporal Forces set.

Noteworthy cards from the set include the following:

  • Seven Ace Spec Trainer and Special Energy Cards
  • 13 Pokemon ex two Tera Pokemon ex Cards
  • 22 illustration rare Pokemon
  • 10 special illustration rare Pokemon and Supporter Cards
  • Six hyper rare gold etched cards

 Pokemon TCG Scarlet & Violet Temporal Forces will launch at participating retailers around the world on March 22, 2024.
