Fantasy Flight Games have announced another repackaged expansion for the revised The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game. These expansions contain reprints of cards from the older version of the game updated with revised artwork and streamlined elements. This is a common practice in Fantasy Flight's living card games, both for the Middle-earth title with Angmar Awakened, and for the Lovecraftian Arkham Horror with Path to Carcosa. Now, The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game The Two Towers expansion brings back scenarios from two older expansions, now touched up for this latest iteration.

According to an official post, The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game The Two Towers is a Saga Expansion for the living card game. As the name implies, the expansion contains content based on the events of The Two Towers. The Fellowship has been scattered by an attack from Orcs bearing the White Hand of Saruman. Frodo and Sam continue onward to Mount Doom. Aragorn and his allies pursue the Orcs that have captured several of their friends.
Overall, it has six narrative scenarios, recreating key events like the Battle of Helm's Deep, the Ents' confrontation with Saruman, and Frodo's journey through the Dead Marshes, as well as 60 hero and player cards.
The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game The Two Towers expansion combines content from two older expansions. If you are a longtime player and already own The Treason of Saruman and The Land of Shadow expansions, then this expansion will contain no new content.
The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game The Two Towers expansion is available for pre-order right now on Asmodee's store page. It has an MSRP of $69.99 and is set to release on October 6.
