Today HoYoverse released a new trailer of its upcoming action RPG Zenless Zone Zero, featuring one of its characters, Nekomata.
As the name implies, Nekomata is a catgirl. Her real name is Nekomiya Mana and she's part of the odd-jobs agency named Gentle House AKA Cunning Hare.
We have already seen the other members of the agency including its leader Nicole Demara and her underlings Billy King and Anby Demara.
Here's how HoYoverse officially describes her.
Spirited and mischievous, she likes to play tricks on others. Your wallet is her wallet. (Really... It's hers now). Athletic and daring, no Hollow is too dangerous for her.
"Cats love fish" is actually an incorrect stereotype. But Nekomata does loves fish... She's seen a lot of cat-astrophy and "curiosity killed the cat" moments, and seen many a secret that can't be told.
Her English voice has not been officially announced yet. but you can hear her in the trailer below.
She's voiced in Japanese by Sayuri Hara, whom you may know as Rinwell in Tales of Arise and Chiaki Ogaki in Laid-Back Camp. You can hear her in action in the official Japanese trailer on the YouTube channel.
Update 3/22/2024: Another trailer showcases Nekomata in action, showing off her moves. You can watch it in English below and in Japanese on the official channel.
Zenless Zone Zero is coming for PC, iOS, and Android, on top of a PS5 version recently announced at the PlayStation State of Play in January. A new closed beta was revealed a few days ago and you can already register for it.
If you'd like to know more about the game, you can check out our interview with the producer, who shared a lot of interesting details last summer at Gamescom.
