Weird West has had some hype behind it since its initial announcement from Wolfeye Studios, which is developing the ARPG as its first title. While fans have been waiting for over two years, they'll now have to wait a little while longer as its January 2022 release date has been shifted two months to March 31, 2022.
The delay makes sense, given that a preview from just over a month ago from our very own Tyler Chancey said that "there are a few areas where it can use a bit of spit and polish." If that's all the game needs, then it makes sense that Weird West received a two month delay to give it the spit and polish that it needs to really shine. After all, a delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever, right. We'll see.
Speaking of seeing, feast your eyes on the delay announcement below:
What's interesting about all this is that Weird West was announced to be releasing in January 2022 on October 28, 2021. TechRaptor's preview was published on November 1. So, after a month of consideration the developers announced the delay. What am I getting at? Basically, while we were only one voice in a chorus, it's good to know that the developers were listening to honest feedback. We'll find out if the delay was enough in a few months.
Weird West is releasing on March 31, 2022 for Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation 4, and PC. For more information on ARPG's, Weird West, and everything in between, stay tuned to TechRaptor for more information.
