If you're a big fan of both Fortnite and Star Wars then you're about to have a mashup dream come true, as a clip from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be displayed in-game.

The event, which will be held on Saturday, December 14th, will start at 1:30 pm EST at the Risky Reels section of the map. Should you join, you'll get a chance to see a new clip from the upcoming Star Wars film, which hits theaters on December 19th. In addition to this, it appears that director J.J. Abrams himself will make an appearance. So get out your Star Wars geek and live long and prosper.

This isn't the first cross over with Star Wars that Fortnite is currently in. You can also get a Stormtrooper outfit for your character, in case you feel like joining the space fascism team. Oddly enough, they don't really have Stormtroopers in Star Wars anymore, I believe they're called First Order Troopers now. In addition to this, a Star Destroyer spent some time parked above the Fortnite map, giving a nice sense of impending invasion, though that never seemed to happen.

Star Wars has quite a few video game stuff going for it right now. The recently released Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order came out to rave reviews, while Star Wars Battlefront II continues to see more content added, including the recent revelation that BB-8 is going to be added as a playable hero. As for non-video game content, The Mandalorian has been streaming on Disney+ and has been receiving rave reviews and is home to the amazing meme material that is Baby Yoda. Everyone loves Baby Yoda.

This seems to be following on the success of the Marshmello Concert last year, which drew 10.7 million viewers. A similar turn out would do well for the trailer. Now, the only question is, when the trailer ends... who will shoot first?

How do you feel about the Fortnite crossover? Going to watch the Rise of the Skywalker clip? Sill boycotting Star Wars for some reason that I'm sure is totally logical? Let us know in the comments below!
