Over two years have passed since the release of Bandai Namco's JRPG Scarlet Nexus, but its director Kenji Ababuki has not forgotten about it.
If you're familiar with the game, you may know that Anabuki-san has been posting daily about it on Twitter (now X) since way before its release, providing information and images about the characters and story.
What most probably don't know is that he continued after the game's release, posting regularly every day until now. Today marks the 1,000th tweet (or post, since Twitter has changed name in the meanwhile).
To celebrate the rather impressive number, Anabuki-san mentioned his will to make a sequel for the game in quite strong terms, also posting the illustration above, featuring Scarlet Nexus' cast.
★Day 1000!! Thank you so much for the 1000 days! I will devote my life as a developer to make a sequel one day!
Personally, I really enjoyed Scarlet Nexus, so I'd certainly be down for seeing the franchise continue.
If you're not familiar with the game, it was released in June 2021 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC as part of an ongoing effort by Bandai Namco to create and launch new IP in-house.
It's an action-JRPG developed in Unreal Engine 4 and you can read our review. After the release of the game, Bandai Namco updated it for quite some time, continuing to offer content and even a collaboration with Tales of Arise.
We even got a anime produced by Sunrise, aired in two cours on Japanese television between July and December 2021.
Hopefully, Bandai Namco will see fit to continue the series. The first game had style and personality, and the franchise certainly deserves to get more love.
