Coming from Bandai Namco is Scarlet Nexus, an action-JRPG set in a futuristic city where an elite squad of psionic warriors battles against strange otherworldly creatures.

Scarlet Nexus takes place in a "brianpunk" future where psychic abilities have become prevalent after a psychic hormone was discovered in the human brain. However, this future is under attack by Others, strange plant-like creatures that fell from the sky, are immune to conventional weapons, and devour human brains. With no other options, humanity created the Other Suppression Force and recruited psychics to fight the onslaught and save humanity. The main protagonist in this story, Yuito Sumeragi, is a psychokinesis user stationed in the city of New Himuka. With his powers, he can use the world around him to lay waste to his enemies.

Producer Keita Iizuka from Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc spoke a bit about their new release:

The next generation of video game home consoles lets the development team realize the full potential of Scarlet Nexus. Players can expect visuals and psychic battles with high resolution and frame rate along with fully interactive real-time battles with dynamic animation. Utilizing Smart Delivery on Xbox Series X also means players can enjoy the best version of Scarlet Nexus regardless of whether they are playing on the next generation with Xbox Series X or Xbox One.

Stephen Akana, Senior Brand Manager for Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc, says that Scarlet Nexus is being designed by a talented team that has worked on titles like Tales of Vesperia. "Scarlet Nexus combines years of game development experience with the excitement and creative freedom of the power behind the next generation of home console systems," he added.

There is no given release date for Scarlet Nexus. It'll be available for the Xbox Series X and Xbox One, both via Smart Delivery, a system that will allow you to play the best version of the game across console generations.
