Pokemon Unite

In what is both expected and unexpected news, Pokemon Unite has reached 50 million downloads on all platforms combined, which are Android, iOS, and the Nintendo Switch. The game has only been out since July 21 for the Nintendo Switch and September 22 for Android and iOS, which makes an amazing achievement all the more impressive. Basically, never underestimate Pokemon, even when it's venturing into new genres that many would've first thought was spectacularly unsuited for.

Even though Pokemon Unite has only been out for a few months so far, it has consistently received plenty of updates and characters, which no doubt has played an important role in this milestone.

Due to this milestone, players will be receiving 2,000 Aeos Tickets for free if they log in between tomorrow and January 31, 2022, as a thank you for their support. This lines up nicely with the holiday festivities that will be launching soon, so let's get into that, shall we?

What's included in Pokemon Unite's Holiday Festivities?

The holiday festivities will run from December 15, 2021, to January 16, 2022, and players will receive login gifts "such as reward boxes containing limited licenses and Trainer fashion items". There will also be special event awards in the Illumination Challenge and Photo Challenge, and you can add two new Unite licenses with Tsareena (which comes out today) and Dragonite joining the battle. Tsareena will be available for free between December 9 and December 31, 2021, with Dragonite playable starting December 20, 2021.

While you're trying out your new Pokemon there's also a 4v4 quick battle map called Snowball Battle in Shivre City. On this map, players can watch their knocked-out Pokemon transform into snowmen during the battle. While you do this you can also test out all of the Unite Pokemon, as licenses from January 1 to 3, 2022 will be available to all trainers in every mode except ranked matches.
