The next Pokemon Unite addition has been announced, and it's a good one if you're into playing Supporter-type 'mons. Comfey is floating its way into the game starting next Thursday, and it's bringing a pretty pure Supporter experience to the game, so if you like to give boosts to your teammates, here's your pick.
Last month saw the addition of Dragapult, a sneaky Attacker with the ability to cross the battlefield at high speeds and pick off opponents stealthily. Now, it's Comfey's turn in the spotlight, and if public test realm info and datamines are anything to go by, Comfey will play in a similar fashion to League of Legends' Yuumi.
Comfey's main gimmick is the ability to attach itself to teammates, giving them healing and shielding them while also amplifying its own abilities. The Yuumi comparison doesn't work on a one-to-one basis, though; while Yuumi has virtually no offensive capabilities, Comfey can use its passive to match Aeos Energy deposited by its partner, thus potentially massively increasing its team's score. We don't have a lot of official info about Comfey right now, though, so we'll have to wait and see what else the Pokemon Unite team reveals in the coming days.
As well as sharing news of Comfey's arrival in Pokemon Unite, the team has also been revealing some of the game's stats for 2022. In total, players racked up 675,424,684 hours in the game, which adds up to more than 75,000 years. The total number of points scored by all players cumulatively was more than 190 billion.
Other fun stats include over 25 million players winning MVP, as well as more than 2 billion battles being fought in total. No prizes for guessing who the most popular Pokemon in the game was, either; of course, that honor goes to Pikachu, with Greninja taking up second place and Charizard coming in third.
You can play Pokemon Unite right now for free on Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. Comfey is due to arrive in the game starting from February 2nd. Stay tuned to TechRaptor for more news on all things Pokemon Unite.
