For those of you who are playing Pokemon Unite, today is a good day. Why? Because you'll soon be receiving the first new Pokemon Unite map that isn't for a separate "for fun"-style mode. Basically, with a new map being added to the main 10-minute mode, it should definitely shake up the meta. Let's get right into it, shall we?
What else can we expect from the new Pokemon Unite map?
Sadly, more information about the map will be releasing at a later date, as well as the map itself. Fortunately, we have the trailer to pore over, which has some interesting Pokemon that players will have to deal with. These include Xatu, Baltoy, Bunnelby, and the legendary Pokemon Rayquaza, who looks like he's had way too much caffeine. Structurally, there aren't too many major differences between Theia Sky Ruins and the main Pokemon Unite map, but it should give players something new to see anyway.
As for the game itself, Pokemon Unite has been releasing content at a pretty decent clip since its release. Recently, it celebrated its first year anniversary and added in-game events and Pokemon. The game has also recently seen updates adding the ability to play as wild Pokemon and the Pokemon Unite Club Membership, which costs $9.99 a month. For fans of the MOBA, this new Pokemon Unite map is another sign that the game is doing well and will continue to add content, which can only mean more anniversary events, more things to spend money on, and more maps. Not bad for something some (including myself) thought would be a complete flop. I mean, a Pokemon mobile MOBA? Ugh.
