New Starfield Essential Mod Lets You Summon Your Ship

Thanks to a new essential mod for Starfield, you won't have to walk back for miles to your ship after exploring for a while. You'll be able to just summon it and see it immersively land in front of you, ready to pick you up. 👀

Starfield - A character calling a ship

One of the elements of Starfield that can be a bit tedious is walking back to your ship after you have gone far on foot while exploring. While you can fast-travel, a new mod addressed the issue in a much more immersive way.

The mod lets you simply call your ship at any time and from anywhere, as long as you're in the open. It will take off where you've left it, and land in front of you, ready for you to climb on and depart without any hassle.

The mod is simply named "Call Your Ship" and is created by Rysel and uploaded on NexusMods by S1yRuleZ

Upon being called, the ship will take a few seconds to reach your position, giving you time to find a nice, flat surface (otherwise there may be some clipping) for it to land.

Below you can see the mod in action in a video created by its author.

The Starfield modding community has been rather active since the launch of the game, albeit what can be done is pretty limited until Bethesda implements official mod support early next year.

That being said, this is certainly one of the more creative and useful mods out there, and hopefully, it's a sign of things to come.

Starfield, which is available for PC and Xbox Series X|S, has already achieved over 10 million players since its release.

Its developers at Bethesda already have a long list of things they want to add to the game, and whatever they don't add directly, modders likely will.
