Hey, did you know a Nintendo Direct is airing in a little while? Nintendo probably knows that as well, which is part of what makes the timing of the studio's latest Everybody 1-2 Switch! trailer just a little suspicious. The trailer dropped late yesterday, so if, for some reason, you're excited to check out this party game, you're in for a treat.
Everybody 1-2 Switch! was originally announced earlier this month, and that announcement was a pretty muted one as well, with Nintendo choosing to shadow drop the June 30th release date absent a full trailer or spotlight. Now, a new Everybody 1-2 Switch! trailer has arrived just a few hours before a major Nintendo Direct presentation, where we'll likely learn about some of Nintendo's big upcoming plans. Hmm.
In any case, the new trailer unites "16 content creators from around the world" and sees them taking part in characteristically wacky minigames as only Everybody 1-2 Switch! can deliver. The trailer looks suitably anarchic, and hey, there's a guy in one of those comedy horse masks, so there's value in that, at least. Here's the trailer.
Minigames include vigorously pumping the Joy-Con in a not-at-all suspect manner in order to blow up a balloon, as well as jumping over a rope and playing the role of a ninja using the Joy-Con. I've ragged on Everybody 1-2 Switch, but it does look pretty fun, especially if you're in the market for a mindless minigame collection. This is the sort of thing that really should be packaged in with Switch consoles, but it might be worth a look, at least.
Everybody 1-2 Switch! is due to arrive exclusively on Nintendo Switch on June 30th, and you can pre-order the game right now on the Nintendo eShop, although I doubt you're going to struggle to secure a copy. Stay tuned for more Nintendo news, including all the big announcements for the Direct later on. Everybody 1-2 Switch! 2, anyone?
