24 Entertainment and NetEase have announced that free-to-play battle royale brawler Naraka: Bladepoint has reached a pretty significant player count.
In a post on the game's official X (formerly known as Twitter) account, the studios confirm that the game has hit 40 million players around the world.
That figure makes sense given that Naraka: Bladepoint went free-to-play back in July this year, with the date for that transition coinciding with the game's PlayStation release.
In the announcement post, 24 Entertainment and NetEase also confirm that in order to celebrate this milestone - as well as achieving 200,000 followers on X - players will receive some free goodies.
Your in-game mail should contain 3 Pioneer Treasures to enjoy, so make sure to log in and check that if you haven't already.
If you're not familiar with Naraka: Bladepoint, it's a battle royale game that places an emphasis on melee combat and martial arts rather than shootouts.
Since its release in 2021, the game has received a steady supply of new characters, including the mystical hero Wuchen and the acrobatic Hadi Ismail.
As well as new characters, Naraka: Bladepoint's PvE component has been significantly expanded on since launch thanks to the addition of the Showdown campaign mode, which has itself also seen a number of updates including new bosses and more.
Naraka: Bladepoint has also crossed over with other major gaming franchises, including the NieR series and Soulslike hack-and-slash RPG Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.
The game has been popular since its beta testing phase, with 136,000 players signing up to check the game out during its final beta test.
