A new Naraka: Bladepoint weapon will be added to the melee battle royale's arsenal in the upcoming eleventh season, and there's a brand new trailer in town to show off that weapon.
The Heng Sword will launch as part of Naraka: Bladepoint Season 11, joining other post-launch weapon additions like the staff.
It's a quick blade that will help you disorient and confuse your enemy; you can use it to launch fast strikes, teleport behind your opponent anime-style, and even decimate your enemy with spectral blades as part of a charged strike.
The trailer first shows off the Heng Sword's Straight Lunge move, which, as you might expect, causes you to lunge forward towards your enemy.
If you strike vertically after using this move, you'll transition into Shadow Step, which takes you behind your enemy in a rather stylish-looking blink maneuver.
The Twin Slash move, as you've probably guessed, launches two slashes in quick succession, and following this up with a horizontal strike adds Lethal Jab to the combo.
There's also an Extreme version of the Twin Slash move, which causes a rain of spectral swords to attack your opponent. It looks pretty brutal in the trailer.
If you'd like to give the Heng Sword a try ahead of its launch on January 4th, you can do so via the Naraka: Bladepoint test servers.
Handily, 24 Entertainment and NetEase have provided a guide on how to join the game's test servers, which simply entails grabbing a test key from the official Discord server and activating it on Steam.
The test runs from today until January 3rd and also includes "certain Jan 4 update content", according to the developers, although you'll have to try it out for yourself to find out exactly what's included.
Naraka: Bladepoint is currently available on PC via Steam, as well as on Xbox consoles and PS5. The game has proven pretty popular since its 2021 launch, amassing 40 million players in total in the intervening years.
