Showdown, a new Naraka: Bladepoint campaign, has been added into the game. It's accompanying the Naraka: Bladepoint anniversary celebration and immediately precedes the new map, Holoroth, that's releasing next month. Basically, it's a good time to be a Naraka: Bladepoint fan, especially with the consistent stream of updates the game has been receiving. Let's take a look at the latest one, shall we?
What's included in the new Naraka: Bladepoint campaign?
The new Naraka: Bladepoint campaign mode, Showdown, will see players teaming up in trios and taking on challenges across two stages. You'll battle hordes of enemies across the map before facing down a ferocious boss, so you'll need to have your wits about you.
There will be four characters to choose from, and all of them will have their own powers and abilities. During the course of the game, the player will have their character upgraded with both new equipment and skills to unlock, which sounds pretty interesting and a cool way of facilitating a different but also familiar type of gameplay in the 60-player battle royale.
On August 19, 2022, players will see the aforementioned Holoroth map released, which will give players a new region to explore and new features to experience. These features include a weather system and new interactive objects, among other things. There's also been some teasing over the revival of Sunwing and two unnamed heroes that are on their way, so stay tuned for that.
This latest update comes on the heels of Naraka: Bladepoint reaching 10 million copies sold. Helping the game reach this goal was its release on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Game Pass for console and PC on June 22nd, with over 1 million players joining the battle in its first two weeks of release. Basically, Naraka has carved its own niche in the battle royale genre, so expect continued updates going forward for quite a while.
