Indie shop management/dungeon crawler game Moonlighter has sold over 500,000 copies. These figures take into account all platforms on which the game is currently available: PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

Developer Digital Sun says the sales figures are "truly amazing" for an indie studio and that it's "super happy" to see the game's community growing worldwide. In order to celebrate the 500k milestone, Moonlighter is currently available for 40% off on Steam and 33% off on the Nintendo eShop. Digital Sun says the game will also be on sale via the European Nintendo eShop in a couple of days.

Digital Sun has also announced the first premium DLC for Moonlighter. It's called Between Dimensions and it'll add a number of new features to the game. Players can explore a brand-new Interdimensional Dungeon and look forward to fighting fifteen new enemies (ten regular enemies and five new minibosses). New weapons and armor will be added, including Trick Weapons, which are powerful but difficult to use. Between Dimensions will also add new rings, a new shop upgrade, and new customers for players to interact with. Moonlighter's DLC is planned for a summer 2019 release. Digital Sun says Between Dimensions will "be available on all platforms this year".

Finally, Digital Sun is working on a mobile version of Moonlighter. The game won't just be a straight port; instead, it'll be an "adaptation" with rebalanced mechanics, redesigned levels, and an entirely new control scheme. The mobile version is also planned for a 2019 release, so if you're an iOS or Android gamer then that'll be one to watch.

Plenty for Moonlighter fans to look forward to in 2019, eh? In the meantime, you can check out TechRaptor's review of the game.

Dark Souls changed my life, and I'm here to spread the good news. I like pretty much all sorts of games, but I judge everything by its proximity to our Lord and saviour, Dark Souls.
