Today Square Enix revealed a large promotional campaign to make sure absolutely no one living in Tokyo misses the fact that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is coming soon.

Starting today, a number of trains on the Yamanote Line will be decorated with the characters of the game. The decoration includes images of the protagonists on the side of the trains and more inside featuring various comparisons between screenshots of the new game and of the original from 1997.

Commercials will also be shown on the monitors. The concept for this campaign is aptly "Rebirth" and it's going to be very visible since the Yamanote Libe is one of the highest-traffic train lines not only in Tokyo, but in the whole world.

From February 19 to March 3 more ads will be displayed in several relevant stations in Tokyo, including Ikebukuro, Shinjuku, Shibuya, Gotanda, Shinagawa, Takanawa Gateway Station, Yurakucho, Tokyo, Akihabara, Sugamo, Kichijoji, Urawa, Omiya, Yokohama, Sakuragicho, Takadanobaba, Ebisu, and Akabane.

During the same period, the ads will appear in various metro stations,  Ginza, Nihonbashi, Ueno, Tameike Sanno, Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, Roppongi, Ebisu, Akihabara, Iidabashi, Meiji Jingumae, Toyosu, Yurakucho, Takadanobaba, and Toranomon Hills.

Starting on February 22, a countdown TV commercial will be aired nationwide for a week alongside those we saw yesterday focusing on the main character and the "feelings hidden in their hearts."

Starting on February 26, Sephiroth will appear engulfed in the flames of Nibelheim at "a certain location in Shibuya," reproducing an intense and classic scene. No more information has been provided about this, but it's likely to be rather spectacular.
