Neowiz has announced that its Belle Epoque puppet Soulslike Lies of P has smashed through a major sales barrier worldwide.
Speaking via X earlier today, Neowiz expressed its "sincere gratitude" for the game's strong sales performance, hoping that fans will join the studio in its "future journeys" as well.
This total likely includes all of the platforms on which Lies of P was released, but doesn't seem to include Game Pass player counts, since the post refers specifically to "copies sold".
If you're not au fait with Lies of P, it's a Soulslike heavily inspired by Bloodborne, as well as games like BioShock.
The game is a gritty retelling of the classic fantasy novel The Adventures of Pinocchio; its protagonist, P, must set out to find the puppet-maker Geppetto after a mysterious event renders a city of puppets insane and hostile.
Lies of P hasn't stayed constrained to its own puppet-strewn city, either; the game has also crossed over with fellow Soulslike Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, bringing two elegant new weapons to Team Ninja's title.
The future of Lies of P is unclear at the moment, but if this sales performance is anything to go by, we'll likely get a sequel at some point (and given Lies of P's post-credits sting, it sure would be an interesting one).
At the very least, some sort of expansion DLC for the game seems inevitable, so let's hope we hear something about that in the near future.
You can pick up Lies of P right now on PC, PlayStation consoles, and Xbox platforms. If you're on the fence about getting the game, be sure to check out my review!
