Today Neowiz and Round 8 Studio released a new gameplay trailer of Lies of P, focusing on its weapons and the Weapon Assemble system.
Quite obviously, many have seen the similarities between this game and FromSoftware's Bloodborne, so I'm not telling you anything new here, but today's trailer highlights that comparison even more, if at all possible.
The Weapon Assemble lets you combine weapons, and while it may not be exactly the same system as in FromSoftware's beloved game, it certainly feels close enough to be a valid replacement.
The trailer showcases a variety of combinations and the way tey work in combat, and again, it feels like you're looking at Bloodborne wth a slightly less grimdark setting and a considerably more handsome protagonist.
You can check it out for yourself below.
Lies of P will release on September 19 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. If you're not familiar with the game, it's basically a radical retelling of Pinocchio's story with a definitely darker setting and a lot more violence.
Apparently, the possibility of lying or telling the truth also plays a relevant role in the story of this upcoming Souls-like.
If you'd like to learn more, you can check out another trailer and read our hands-on preview, in which our Erren Van Duine defined it "The Dark Souls of Classic Literature" and described both similarities and differences between this upcoming game and well-known masterpieces by FromSoftware.
