Surprise! An Immortals Fenyx Rising x Adventure Time Character Pack has debuted in the in-game Estore, allowing players to get a cool new cosmetic look for some of the game's characters. Unfortunately, your new look won't come cheap.
Immortals Fenyx Rising is one of the latest releases from Ubisoft. Formerly titled Gods & Monsters, players are taking on the role of a new god in the Greek pantheon, charged with a quest to get the other gods in the sky to stop being silly babies. (Unfortunately, as mythology often shows, that isn't always the easiest thing to do.) Now, the game is getting a bit of a cosmetic makeover with a premium Adventure Time pack.
If you're unfamiliar with Adventure Time, it's a show that ran on Cartoon Network from 2010–2018. Main characters Finn (a guy) and Jake (a shapeshifting Dog) have adventures in the mystical land of Ooo, a place that is haunted by a terrible event from long ago known as the Mushroom War. The cartoon proved to be quite popular — and now you can deck out your god (and your god's companions) in the style of these iconic characters.
What Does the Immortals Fenyx Rising x Adventure Time Character Pack Cost?
Unfortunately, today's announcement of the Immortals Fenyx Rising x Adventure Time Character Pack did not mention a price. You can, however, view it in the Estore — and you're sure to be in for some sticker shock.
Following a report on Reddit of a £17 pricetag for the entire pack — that's roughly $23.00 — we had a TechRaptor staffer boot up the game and take a look. See for yourself:
You can get the whole pack for 1,500 Helix Credits; you can buy 500 Helix Credits for $5 and 1,050 Helix Credits for $10, so this pack works out to be roughly $15 with a few Helix Credits left over. You can, however, also buy individual items in the pack for 300–500 Helix Credits each. Naturally, buying the bundle is cheaper in the long run.
It's kind of pricey, but it's also purely cosmetic content — nothing in the Immortals Fenyx Rising x Adventure Time Character Pack has any real effect on the game. Either way, this is still a pretty fun game — you can buy Immortals Fenyx Rising via its official website starting at $59.99 or your regional equivalent. You can also get it at a discount as part of the Epic Games Store Holiday Sale starting at just $40.19.
