Immortals Fenyx Rising is getting crossover content from the Netflix anime Blood of Zeus with the addition of a new free quest for players to enjoy, ultimately unlocking some neat cosmetic content.

If you haven't yet played Immortals Fenyx Rising, you're missing out on a pretty neat take on Greek mythology. The giant Typhon has managed to escape imprisonment and stripped the gods of their powers. The only hope for returning the world to normal lies in Fenyx, a mortal who has miraculously survived a shipwreck. Now, some new crossover content with Netflix's Blood of Zeus is making its way into the game today.

Missed out on the announcement of Blood of Zeus? Have a gander at its official trailer to get a feel for this Netflix anime:

Blood of Zeus is Basically Hercules with Zombies

Blood of Zeus content is coming to Immortals Fenyx Rising today. While both of these separate stories have some similarities by putting a new spin on classic Greek mythology, these are very different pieces of entertainment.

Suffice it to say, Blood of Zeus is much less cheerful than Immortals Fenyx Rising. A new demigod named Heron — a character created for the show — is charged with saving Earth and Olympus alike. People are eating the flesh of the dead giants and turning into demons, and the only way to stop them is by destroying the bodies of the giants before humanity and the gods are overwhelmed.

This new Netflix show did well enough to secure itself a second season. The creators have plans for a total of five seasons, although most Netflix fans know by now that these shows don't have the best prospects of making it to the end of their run.

Play the New Immortals Fenyx Rising x Blood of Zeus Content for a Limited Time

The Immortals Fenyx Rising x Blood of Zeus content will be available as a limited-time event until January 28, 2021, according to today's announcement from Ubisoft. This isn't the first crossover content the game has had, either; Adventure Time-themed cosmetic content made its debut late last year, although some fans were put off by its premium pricing.

A new quest titled "A Tribute to Family" will let you take on two evil mythical creatures from another world and is made available to you after the completion of the quest "Gods and Monsters." Complete this quest and you'll earn the Eagle pendant and new cosmetics inspired by the Netflix anime.

Immortals Fenyx Rising is now available as a demo on the European PlayStation Store for PS4. If you'd like to pick up this new Ubisoft game for yourself, you can buy Immortals Fenyx Rising for PC and consoles starting at $59.99 or your regional equivalent. You can also watch the first season of Blood of Zeus on Netflix right now; the show's second season is in production and will arrive at some point in the future.
