Today Cygames presented tons of gameplay, details, and even new characters for its upcoming games Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising and Granblue Fantasy Relink.
In the video that you can find below (keep in mind that you can activate English subtitles), we get to see an introduction to the new elements introduced in Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, including the new playable characters Grimnir, Nier, Siegfried, and Anila.
We also learn that a Character Pass Part 1 is coming, including a whopping 6 characters in the first year after release.
The story mode will get an additional act (act 3) and you'll be able to skip 1 and 2 if you want. It'll also feature a brand new original character, Rein.
It appears that for now, Rein won't be playable, but she's voiced by Maki Kawase in Japanese and Elizabeth Maxwell in English.
Next is a look at more features including partner characters that will encourage you alongside the minigames in Grand Bruise that let you play with your lobby avatars.
We also get the reveal of the Figure Studio that will likely prove familiar to fans of Arc System Works fighting games, letting you play with the 3D models of the characters and create your own diorama.
Lastly, you can enjoy quite a bit of gameplay.
Moving on to Granblue Fantasy Relink, we start with the reveal of a new playable character, Ghandagoza. We also hear that there are more crew members who have not yet been revealed.
This is followed by an introduction to the game and its story, followed by a good look at the gameplay loop. Progressing in the main story unlocks new characters and a variety of content including multiplayer quests.
We then take a look at combat, with more footage showing how it all works, including spectacular special moves,
We also see how characters level up and can progress through their skill trees, which give you freedom on how to develop your heroes. You can further customize your characters by equipping weapons and sigils.
Weapons have unique stats and traits and can be upgraded at the local blacksmith. You can accept over 100 quests at the Quest counter, and they have a variety of objectives.
Lastly, we get to take a look at plenty of gameplay for Relink as well.
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is the followup to 2020's Granblue Fantasy: Versus, and is coming on PS5, PS4, and PC on November 30, 2023.
Granblue Fantasy Relink is a brand new JRPG and is coming on February 1, 2024, for PS5, PS4, and PC.
