Today Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse released a brand new trailer for the upcoming character who will soon debut in the game's gacha.
The new character is Kirara, a Nekomata who works as a delivery lady. She's a four-star Dendro-element character and she's actually the only new one that will be introduced in the update cycle of the upcoming version 3.7 on May 24.
She's voiced by Julia Gu in English and Sayumi Suzushiro in Japanese. You may know her as Cassandra Cappelli in Atelier Ryza, Kyrie in The Magnificent Kotobuki, and Akira Ono in Hi Score Girl.
You can check out the trailer in English below or the Japanese version on the official YouTube channel.
Here's how she's described officially:
Up hill and dale, by the light of the stars and moon, the soft patter of Kirara's paws never ceases. The stunning scenery she passes and the smiles of her customers are what she truly treasures in her work. Of course, if there's any trouble on the way, it's best to just take care of it. After all, cats need to keep their claws sharp.
If you're unfamiliar with Genshin Impact, it's currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android and at the moment, the game is still on version 3.6. A Nintendo Switch version has been announced a long time ago, but HoYoverse has gone under the radar with it and has not said anything since despite confirming multiple times that it hasn't been canceled. We'll have to wait and see if 2023 will finally be the year of Genshin on Nintendo's console.
