Today Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse introduced Furina, a new character who will soon be available in the game's latest Event Wish (Genshin's name for the inevitable gacha).
She's a five-star Hydro character who will be included in the Chanson of Many Waters event wish on November 8 alongside the other new character, Charlotte.
They will both be part of the first wave of version 4.2 "Masquerade of the Guilty," which was fully revealed a couple of days ago.
If you'd rather not read any spoilers, albeit HoYoverse isn't exactly mysterious about the nature of its cast before they're dropped into the gacha, just skip the next paragraph.
If you're wondering she's also the Hydro Archon Focalors and the God of Justice, so she's likely to be extremely popular among the game's fans like all the Archons. Many wallets are going to be lighter in a few days.
Furina is voiced by Amber Lee Connors in English and Inori Minase in Japanese.
You're possibly familiar with her as she played a ton of popular roles including Rem in Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World, Hestia in Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, Altina Orion in The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel series, Maya in Dragon Quest XI, Waltaquin Redditch in The Diofield Chronicle and Laeticia in Star Ocean: The Divine Force.
You can check out Furina below in the trailer in English, while you'll find the version in Japanese on the official YouTube channel if that's your voiceover preference.
Genshin Impact is playable as a free-to-play game (with the inevitable microtransactions) for PS5, PS4, PC, iOS, and Android.
If you're in for something newer, you can also already register for the next closed beta of HoYoverse's next game, Zenless Zone Zero, about which we also have an interview from Gamescom 2023.
