Epic has revealed more information about what's been added in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3, otherwise known as Wilds. As expected, the update is bringing sweeping changes to the game's map, as well as brand new weapons to wield, new skins to enjoy, and much more.

Last night, during Summer Game Fest, we got our first cinematic look at Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3. Now, Epic has released a brand new gameplay trailer that shows off a game in action during the season, as well as revealing the new map changes, weapons, and other additions. You can take a look at that fresh gameplay trailer here.

The first big change in Wilds is the massive jungle that's appeared in the middle of the Island. It's teeming with raptor mounts to ride, canopies to hide out in, and mud to slide on, so there are plenty of tactical options to give you an edge in combat (or just to help you have fun while you're zipping around the map).

Five new weapons have also been added to the game, as well as two unvaulted weapons. New weapons on offer include the long-range Thermal DMR, the Flapjack Rifle, and the Kinetic Boomerang, as well as the Transformers-themed Cybertron Cannon and the terrifying-sounding Wildwasp Jar. Your two unvaulted weapons are the Drum Shotgun and the Combat SMG.

Of course, new skins have also been added as part of the Wilds update, including original characters like the roguish Lorenzo and the paw-sitively ripped Purradise Meowscles, as well as Optimus Prime himself. All of these skins can be unlocked by purchasing the Battle Pass and making progress, and you can also pick up the new Optimus Primal skin if you head over to Fortnite's Item Shop.

After ranked play was added to Fortnite in version 24.40, Wilds is also making some changes to the way the ranked mode works. These include a rank reset for what's being called "season zero" of the game, as well as new tournaments, a ban policy change, and more. Make sure to read through all of the ranked tweaks if you're interested in competitive Fortnite.
