Foregone, a 2D action-platformer published by Big Blue Bubble, will be released on consoles this October, with a release on Steam to follow in 2021.
The game's story focuses on Calagan, a city that has been torn apart by a war and is once again besieged by a corrupting force known as the Harrow. As the strongest super-soldier, the player will channel their inner Sherlock Holmes and investigate the origins behind the corruption and keep the Harrow from destroying the world. However, it isn't just the Harrow that the player has to watch out for--there's also some memories better left forgotten that are being brought to light, and the player will have to deal with that as well.
The platformer title will give players loot to gather up and obsess over, as well as some nice pixel art that the player can drool over. It'll be a good idea to go over the game with a fine-toothed comb as well, because the game promises that there will be many secrets for players to find and discover.
The game is apparently narrative-driven, which is always good. There will be a branching skill tree with customizable abilities, which is also cool. Foregone is available for $24.99 as an Early Access title on Epic Games if you're interested in trying it out right now, but otherwise this game will be available next year for consoles and Steam.
