Today Square Enix announced the release date of Final Fantasy XIV Update 6.5 titled "Growing Light"
Part 1 will be released on October 3, 2023, while Part.2 (patch 6.55) will come in mid-January 2024.
The update is set to usher the conclusion of the story of the 6.X series of patches following the Endwalker expansion, ahead of the next expansion, Dawntrail, which is coming next summer.
You can check out the trailer below, which certainly starts with very familiar music, and then goes into a crescendo remixed by the undefeatable Masayoshi Soken and his team.
Of course, most of the story focuses on Zero, but we also get to see the new dungeon, the new alliance raid, the new trail, the expansion to the Island Sanctuary, and much more.
There certainly appears to be a lot of content coming with the new update.
