Today Koei Tecmo released a brand new trailer of the upcoming action JRPG Fate/Samurai Remnant.
The trailer is quite epic and it showcases more of the story of this interesting spin-off of the Fate series. We also get to see more of the characters (both masters and servants), and gameplay, including some intriguing minigames.
You can watch it below.
Fate/Samurai Remnant will release on September 29, 2023, for PS5, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch in North America and Europe. Japanese fans will get the game one day earlier on September 28. Pre-orders are already available on all platforms.
You can read our preview, in which our Austin Suther defined the game as "highly ambitious," also adding that it "has thus far delivered on providing both engaging gameplay systems and an exciting story."
If you'd like to see more footage and assets of the game, you can enjoy another trailer that recently introduced the story and some of the characters, another trailer and gallery of screenshots, and another set of images and details, on top of the opening cutscene.
If you're unfamiliar with the Fate series, it originally debuted in Japan in 2004 with an adult-oriented visual novel titled Fate/stay night.
The franchise then followed the same route as many popular Japanese series which first launched as eroge, dropping its adult content (while keeping plenty of fanservice) and widening its target.
It ultimately became a massive multimedia IP including anime, manga, and more, culminating with the mobile game Fate/Grand Order, which is likely the most well-known incarnation of the brand.
