Escape from Tarkov Update Patch 0.12.12.15.4 has arrived, adding NVIDIA DLSS, Weapon and Armor Repair Kits, and more to the game.

The last few months have been pretty wild for Escape from Tarkov. While Patch 0.12.12 brought some much-needed new content to the game, the Russia-Ukraine war worried players enough that Battlestate Games had to reassure players that further development would continue. Things seemed on the upswing with the reveal of new content earlier this month in an official podcast -- now, some of those new toys have finally arrived.

What's New in Escape from Tarkov Update Patch 0.12.12.15.4?

Escape from Tarkov Update Patch 0.12.12.15.4 adds quite a few interesting things to the game, quickly delivering some of the content that was revealed during the TarkovTV LIVE podcast earlier this month.

In terms of gameplay, the most significant addition is Weapon Repair Kits and Armor Repair Kits. Both of these can be found during Raids, but you won't actually be able to use them until you've successfully extracted and made it back to base. The Weapon Maintenance and Intelligence skills will determine how effective these Repair Kits are when you use them. Speaking of crafting, a new feature that prevents certain auxiliary tools from being destroyed has gone live. The days of disposable screwdrivers are over for quite a few recipes.

The long list of guns is expanding in Escape from Tarkov with the addition of a Chiappa Rhino 200DS (chambered in 9x19) and a Chiappa Rhino 50DS (chambered in .357). This is complemented by the addition of four new ammo types: .357 Magnum Soft Point, .357 Magnum JHP, .357 Magnum Hollow Point, and .357 Magnum FMJ. Two more versions of the Chiappa Rhino chambered in .40 SW and 9x21 ITA will be coming "in the near future."

This update also adds NVIDIA DLSS 2.3.1 to the game which should give a boost to frame rates for those of you on weaker graphics cards; you can read about all of the changes in the full Escape from Tarkov Update Patch 0.12.12.15.4 notes. You can get into the action by pre-ordering Escape from Tarkov starting at $44.99 or your regional equivalent and gaining instant access to the closed beta,
