Escape from Tarkov patch 0.13.5 is arriving today, bringing with it a new boss to fight, swappable gear presets, and more.

Where previous Tarkov updates have focused on improving the game's technical experience or adding whole new areas to its map, this one is a little more general, adding new things in lots of different areas.

First up, there's a new boss to take down. Kaban makes his home in the Streets of Tarkov expansion's car repair shop, and he's a slow-moving machine gun expert with body armor, so he should be pretty tough to take down.

This update is also adding the ability to save and quickly equip gear presets. You can name your preset, compare it with others, and see what it contains and how much it weighs.

It's possible to store up to 50 custom gear sets, and you'll get 15 basic sets to start you off once you've created your character as well.

Other improvements and additions are perhaps a little smaller, but no less important for it.

Containers, for instance, now spawn at random points, and it's now possible to swap your weapons more quickly by double-tapping the holstered weapon key.

Peaceful bot behavior has also been improved in a number of smaller ways, and hostile scav bot groups should now be "better organized in combat".

Several new weapons have been added as well, including the AK-12 assault rifle, new light machine guns, and a sawed-off shotgun. You'll also find new weapon mods and equipment models in this Tarkov update.

Make sure you take a look at Battlestate's Escape from Tarkov 0.13.5 patch notes so you can get up to speed with all of the changes.

Escape from Tarkov is available right now on PC, where it's currently in its beta phase. The new update is in the process of being applied at time of writing and should be completed by around 2pm BST (about 9am Eastern), although that deadline might be extended if necessary.
