For Honor is a game that lives up to its namesake, your goal is to play as one of the three factions across single and multiplayer games and help to determine the outcome of a long waged war. The three factions are the knights of the Legion, the vikings of the Warborn and the samurai of the Chosen. The way that each of these factions play a role in this game isn't out of fanfiction but on fact and legends, even if there was never a real war between the samurai and vikings. For Honor was announced at Ubisoft's conference earlier this week.
At the start of every battle, alone or with others, a player is able to choose a Hero from across each of these three factions. Not only do each of these heroes look different but each has their own set of skills and weapons. These heroes also aren't just random characters from each faction but are the most skilled and powerful of their kind on the battlefield. What will make all of the characters their own in battle is the new Art of Battle.
The Art of Battle is the new control scheme that has been specifically developed to give you an experience of dueling without having to remove any sense of comfort or simplicity. Players will be able to directly control their weapon and choose to block or attack when they want to, this extends further when you also include buffs and strategies allowing you to change up the way that you face your opponent on the fly.

There's still a lot about For Honor that we don't know yet such as details on how the single player campaign will work, how many different playable heroes there will be across the three factions and a release date of course.
What do you think of For Honor? Are you looking forwards to this three way clash of amazing fighters? Which faction will you play for?
