The Dreams 2.08 Update has arrived. And no, it's not an April Fool's joke.

Media Molecule's game creation engine Dreams has been hammering out the post-launch content ever since it debuted back in February. Now, they're back with even more stuff for players to enjoy in a brand-new update to the game released today!

What's in the Dreams 2.08 Update?

The latest update to Dreams is pretty light, but that's not to say that they haven't added new content!

Firstly, players will be able to make use of two new playable characters. These are supplemented with a new non-playable character and several new enemies, all of which fit in nicely with the Welcome Garden Art Pack back in the 2.06 Update.

Platforming games will get a bit of a boost with a new Blank Puppet specifically designed for this genre. The new puppet serves as the basis for the new Welcome Garden characters.

The new "Sun Shadow Scale vs. Detail" tweak has popped up and lets you tinker with the detail level of sun shadows (just as you'd expect). This will let you adjust the level of detail for these shadows nearby the camera and how far away from the camera they'll still appear.

Finally, there have been a number of other small changes. The Dreamiverse can now be navigated using the directional patterns on your DualShock controller — no more fiddling about with the analog sticks. Audio recording time has also been reduced to 15 seconds per clip, and there are some other unnamed minor tweaks and improvements to the game.

The handful of new additions in the Dreams 2.08 update adds onto an already great game. If you don't yet already own it, you can pick it up on the PlayStation Store at a price of $39.99 or your regional equivalent.

What do you think of the new additions in the Dreams 2.08 update? What do you hope to see added next? Let us know in the comments below!
