Developer and publisher Event Horizon has announced the Dark Envoy release date.
The throwback CRPG, which was originally slated to arrive last year, will land on PC on October 24th, the studio has revealed.
This news was accompanied by the release of a brand new gameplay trailer that shows off Dark Envoy's combat, as well as its "guns'n'sorcery"-themed world.
In the trailer, we're introduced to the conflict between the Empire and the League, and it looks like you'll be able to choose which one you want to fight for.
We also get a glimpse at Dark Envoy's extensive skill trees, gritty world, and strategic combat, which looks like it'll scratch any tactical itch you might be having.
As the trailer concludes, we get to see the party facing off against a boss creature known only as the Hybrid.
The group wonders whether it's alive, while one party member says he's "never seen a creature like this". What that means, and what relevance the Hybrid has to Dark Envoy's overall storyline, is something you'll have to wait to find out.
Dark Envoy was unveiled all the way back in 2019, and it's undergone a good few changes since then, but it looks like it's finally almost ready to be released.
Earlier this month, we got a look at the game's classes and specializations, with four classes and twelve specializations available.
Six companions will also join you in your fight, and they'll all have their own unique skills and abilities, so finding the right balance in combat is critical.
Dark Envoy is launching on PC via both Steam and GOG on October 24th. Originally, a console release was also slated for the game, but it seems that won't be happening anytime soon, unfortunately. Stay tuned for more info on this one.
