Today Activision and Sledgehammer Games released the "gameplay reveal" trailer of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
Quotation marks are obligatory, as while I'm sure many of the cuts do come from gameplay, the trailer definitely feels more cinematic than anything else.
We do get to see plenty of familiar faces from past games, on top, of a return of "No Russian," which will also feel very familiar for veterans of the franchise.
You can check it out below.
The trailer also brings confirmation that the game will launch for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, and we already knew the release date on November 10.
There are also ways to give Activision more of your hard-earned money with a "Vault edition" including early access to the open beta, early access to the campaign, the Soap Operator Pack, the Nemesis Operator Pack, 2 Weapon Vaults, one season of the BlackCell season pass and 30 additional tier skips.
If you're on PlayStation, you still get a small perk despite the impending acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft in the form of 5 additional tier skips. The whole thing is priced at $99.99 versus the $69.99 pricing of the Standard Edition, with pre-orders open now.
Of course, this implies that the BlackCell season pass will be back with the new game, but I doubt that anyone is really surprised by this totally unpredictable revelation.
The game will be a direct sequel to Modern Warfare 2, pitching Task Force 141 once again against ultranationalist russian war criminal Vladimir Makarov.
It also promises an "open world" Zombies experience, with the biggest map ever dedicated to the feature. It'll feature "a new Treyarch Zombies story with missions, core Zombies features, and secrets to discover."
