Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Official Logo

Today Activision announced the release date and revealed the official logo of the upcoming Call of Duty game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

We knew that the reveal was coming and now we learn that the game will launch on November 10, 2023, while platforms have not been officially announced.

We know that it's developed by Sledgehammer Games, which previously worked on Call of Duty: Vanguard and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, on top of assisting other studios with other recent titles of the franchise.

For now, we  get a cryptic teaser trailer, which you can watch below. It does show some known faces from the franchise.

Considering that the closure of the acquisition of Activison Blizzard by Microsoft is now much more likely to consummate after the FTC failed to obtain a preliminary injunction in the United States and the CMA accepted to sit back at the negotiating table.

The one thing we don't yet know is whether the deal with Nintendo to bring the Call of Duty franchise on the Switch will apply to Modern Warfare 3 or fans will have to wait for next year to play on the hybrid console.

In the meanwhile, PlayStation fans can feel at ease knowing that the franchise will remain on Sony's consoles for the time being, thanks to an agreement between the two companies.
