Among Trees is an open world survival game developed and published by FJRD Interactive. You play as an unnamed explorer, who must scavenge materials and other supplies in an abundant forest to survive.
As an open world survival crafting game, Among Trees has a lot of what you'd expect from the genre. Outside of the very early sections, you're free to do what you want, and there are plenty of items to grab as you slowly turn a small cabin into a proper home. You have a few needs that must be looked after, but things are mostly easy to keep track of.
Alongside your explorer is their faithful fox companion, who joins them early on in their adventure. While they also require food, the fox can help track down certain resources and other loot.
