Hello, TechRaptor readers! It's another slow week, as many people are just now coming back to work from their holiday vacations. Hopefully you've managed to recover from the New Year’s celebrations. Here’s the news you may have missed in the world of tabletop wargaming over the last week!

First up, Corvus Belli recently released the updated stats for Achilles version 2. His new stat line and abilities include swapping out ODD for Forward Deployment L1, essentially turning the Aleph hero into the Infinity equivalent of this guy:

Drive Me Closer I Want To Him Them With My Sword

Games Workshop has decided to resurrect the Battleforces of old and release a series of small starter boxes for various armies coming in at around $85. These are a great and inexpensive way to either start a new army or quickly bulk up your forces for the tabletop battlefield. Starter boxes are available for Space Marines, Astra Militarum, Tyranids, Necrons, Tau, and Skitarii for Warhammer 40K. Warhammer: Age of Sigmar players have their choice of Slaves to Darkness (Chaos), Malignants (Undead), Seraphon, and Greenskins. Starter boxes for both Nurgle and Khorne demons are available as well, which can be used for both systems.

Pics of this weekend’s Forge World Open Day have hit the internet, and the biggest surprise has been the appearance of new Blood Bowl models. The new images include a pair of models from the game (Human and Orc), along with some sketches and concept art. Additional information on Horus Heresy book 6, titled “Retribution” were also released. Rules for the Blood Angels, Dark Angels, and White Scars will be in the new book, along with talk of a new knight variant to go along with it. The book is currently slated for a release some time in 2016.
