Hello, TechRaptor readers! Here’s what you may have missed in the world of tabletop wargaming over the last week.
First up is Games Workshop continuing its release of new board games set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe is the announcement of Imperial Knights: Renegade. The boxed game comes with two Imperial Knight models, a Sanctum Imperialis scenery piece, an eight-page rule booklet, and a transfer sheet for creating one Imperial Knight and one Renegade Knight. The game retails for $195 USD and will be available for purchase on April 23rd. If you have shown any interest in building an Imperial Knights army, this is an excellent start. One Imperial Knight kit will run you $157 USD, and one Sanctum Imperialis terrain piece will be an additional $33 USD. Which means that you’ll be getting a second model retailing for $157 USD for a measly five dollars!

The company also announced its new ‘Ard Case, an upgraded case for transporting models. The announcement also comes with a rather goofy-looking video displaying its durability, complete with highly scientific tests like “running it over with a car”, “throwing it down stairs”, and the ever-popular “hitting it with a sword”. The case will retail for $135 USD and be available for purchase on April 23rd.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8vvLraF_Co Outlaw Miniatures, fresh off of completing their Kickstarter shipping fulfillments (barring a small issue with UK customs) a full two weeks early, have released concept art for the Confederate Rebellion Terminators on The Dark Council Facebook Page. While no other information has been released on the unit as of yet, it does show Outlaw’s commitment to fully fleshing out Wild West Exodus.

Raging Heroes, the French company behind the Toughest Girls in the Galaxy line of sci-fi and fantasy models, spent a good portion of last week releasing tons of images for the armies funded during their most recent Kickstarter campaign last year. Pics of the Sisters of Eternal Mercy (for both sci-fi and fantasy) and Dark Elves are now available for Kickstarter backers (like myself) to drool over while waiting for the pledge manager to become available and miniatures to ship. The company has promised many more images to come in the following days.

Privateer Press continues to drip-feed fans of Warmachine and Hordes new information on the upcoming edition. Lead developer Jason Soles recently discussed some of the issues the company noticed with the Mk II edition of the game and how they’ll be addressing them. Specifically, the article covers the balance issue between focus and fury. As most Warmahordes players know, Hordes factions tend to start strong and slowly lost strength as the game continues, where Warmachine factions have the exact opposite going on. Mk III has addressed this issue by adding additional rules for warjacks and warbeasts bringing them more in line with one another.
And finally, a quick reminder: the Kickstarter campaign for Blood and Plunder, the historical pirate-themed skirmish wargame set in the 17th century Caribbean will go live tomorrow, April 19th.
