Hello, TechRaptor readers! Here’s what you may have missed in the world of tabletop wargaming over the last week.

First up is Games Workshop with a couple pieces of interesting information. The company announced the upcoming Codex Supplement: Angels of Death, a book that adds new formations and rules for vanilla Space Marine armies in Warhammer 40,000. The company will also be releasing updated supplements for both the Black Legion and Crimson Slaughter instead of updating the Chaos Space Marines codex. All three books will be available for purchase on April 16th. There is currently no expected release date for an updated codex for Chaos Space Marines.

In other news, Games Workshop has apparently misjudged how popular some of their Warhammer Fantasy model kits actually were. In an email sent out to newsletter subscribers, the company noticed a huge run on various Order kits as soon as they went on the “Last Chance to Buy” list. They have also received a large number of complaints about this, and have promised to order another production run for the most popular models on the list. To do this, simply follow this link and select “Email Me” on the models you want. The most popular ones will go on sale on April 18th for the last time. If there are any units you want to grab, now’s your last chance.

Forge World also had some releases this last week. The company released several upgrade kits for the Thousand Sons, including shoulder pads and helmets. A Thousand Sons specific Contemptor Dreadnought is also available for pre-order. The expected ship date for the new kits is currently April 15th. On their Facebook page, the company also previewed the Domitar-Ferrum class battle automata, a mechanical bodyguard used by the Iron Warriors. The model will be available exclusively at Warhammer Fest next month for attendees with a regular release date expected sometime afterwards.

Corvus Belli released a desktop version of Army 6, their list-building tool. The program functions just like an offline version of the list-building tool on their website, including a small built-in browser for looking up rules and stats on the Infinity wiki. The tool is still in beta, and has some additional bugs to iron out. Infinity players can download binaries for both Windows and Linux in 64-bit and 32-bit versions. There is still no solid information on the release of an official Infinity app for either iOS or Android devices.

And finally, Firelock Games recently released additional 3D renders for their upcoming swashbuckling game Blood and Plunder. The 28mm skirmish game is set in the Caribbean during the 17th century, allowing players to not only raid coastal areas but fight seamlessly in naval battles as well. The game’s Kickstarter campaign begins on April 19th, so be sure to mark it on your calendars!
