A new version of Monopoly is on its way. The widely popular board game, originally intended to be a critique of unchecked capitalism, has become ubiquitous in the tabletop space for its multiple crossovers with countless IP. There has been Skyrim Monopoly, Roblox Monopoly, and Fall Guys Monopoly. There was even Animal Crossing Monopoly, a title so popular it completely sold out before its official announcement. Monopoly: Hasbro 100th Anniversary Edition pushes this crossover of recognizable iconography even further, featuring references to over 90 different properties owned by the prolific company.

In a press release, WS Game Company and Hasbro go into further detail about Monopoly: Hasbro 100th Anniversary Edition. As the name implies, the board game is meant to celebrate the company's 100 years of business success. Furthermore, multiple beloved properties under Hasbro's umbrella are celebrating pivotal anniversaries as well. The widely popular TTRPG Dungeons & Dragons is about to celebrate its 50th anniversary. Beloved toy lines My Little Pony and Transformers are celebrating their 40th. Even Mr. Potato Head is celebrating 70 years of being a staple of children's playrooms. Because of this, these properties will be showcased in this board game, either in artwork or in official game pieces.

Monopoly: Hasbro 100th Anniversary Edition will be packaged in an embossed unique collectible tin box. It will feature multiple custom tokens, houses, hotels, the game board, and components featuring different Hasbro products. In addition to the brands mentioned above, the contents of the game will include references to Tonka, Play-Doh, Peppa Pig, Magic: The Gathering, Nerf, and more. It will also contain collectible tin packaging with integrated storage, as well as a checklist for players to help identify all of the brands being referenced.
