After crowdfunding over $2 million through Kickstarter and its website for the medieval open-world RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Warhorse Studios is now delivering early Christmas presents as a thank you to all of its backers.
The game has already been released as an early access alpha through Steam but it was updated today, ahead of Christmas, as an early present for all of Warhorse Studios' backers.
The update includes an alchemy minigame which, like other minigames, is predicted to help with developing players' gaming skills. The alchemy skill was previously unavailable until this point. This minigame was researched and developed with the help of alchemy experts to ensure players have as realistic a medieval experience as possible.
The new update also includes a new quest created by Daniel Vavra, co-founder of the studio and developer on Mafia. Vavra is also perhaps best known for causing controversy by wearing a t-shirt proudly calling himself a "shitlord", amongst other slurs, during a press release.
The much-anticipated Kingdom Come: Deliverance is still very much in its early stages, with only a few quests and environments currently released, but it's being developed and improved upon all the time.
Due to the crowdfunded nature of the project, Warhorse Studios decided to release stages of the game as it is developed to help backers see where their money is being used.
