If you've been wanting to try your hand at Fatshark's next cooperative multiplayer game, you won't have too long to wait. The company has announced a Warhammer 40k: Darktide closed beta date at last, and it's only a few weeks away now as we close in on what is hopefully the game's final release date.
What is the Warhammer 40k Darktide closed beta date?
The Warhammer 40,000 Darktide closed beta will be running between October 14th and October 16th. It will include new content compared to the tech test that was held earlier this year, although it will still have a limited amount of enemies, maps, weapons, and other features compared to the full game.
Progress from the beta will not be brought over to the full game, because these tests are also used to balance and otherwise tweak the game. The beta will only be available on PC, but you'll be able to play it on Steam or the Microsoft Store.
How to join the Warhammer 40k Darktide closed beta
If you want to join the Warhammer 40k Darktide closed beta, you won't need to preorder the game, but there are a couple of steps you need to take. First, you need to go to the Warhammer 40,000 Darktide closed beta signup page and enter your email.
Then, you should receive an email with a survey that you need to fill out. If you do not provide the devs with information about what region you're in, some basic computer specs, and similar information that they ask for in the email, you will not be able to join the closed beta test.
This means you'll have to wait until the November 30th release date to play Darktide (which features Warhammer 40k writer Dan Abnett as the game's writer). Note also that not everyone who applies will necessarily be accepted into the closed beta test, so you'll have to keep a close eye on things even after you submit your survey.
